A word from Tonya

I am a New Jersey-based Ayurvedic Wellness and Lifestyle Coach and the mother of 4 amazing children. My journey began primarily because I wanted to show my children that through changing your mindset and the power of positive affirmations, you could change your life.
23 years ago I was working as a courier at FedEx and I enjoyed it but I was a single mom, the hours were arduous, long and I had no life to spend with my young daughter.
I always loved working outdoors and meeting new people so I knew that would be on the list of future jobs.

My parents were entrepreneurs and I loved the freedom of having your own schedule. I made a mental note to one day start my own business.

Fast forward years later after trial and errors in relationships, work and life. I started a job at a hospice company and was introduced to Reiki. Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing. It emerged in Japan in the late 1800s and has shown to have positive benefits. Reiki can enhance your overall well-being.
Women who had reiki showed improvements to their sleep patterns, self-confidence, and depression levels. They noted a sense of calm, inner peace, and relaxation.
I decided to explore this further and in 2012 I completed my certification in Reiki Master White Light Reiki and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki and a certified Karuna Reiki Level II practitioner. I love Reiki and want everyone to feel its beautiful effects.

My passion for a more holistic approach to health was ignited by my own experience. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2009 after the birth of my last son. Hashimoto's is an autoimmune form of hypothyroidism that involves the production of autoimmune thyroid antibodies. The thought of me taking any drugs for any length of time nearly threw me over the edge. I began to research the disease and in the midst of educating myself, I decided I wanted to help others.

I started my certification at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and subsequently entered the School of Applied Functional Medicine online course to enhance my learning of "how to heal your gut". My insatiable desire to learn more did not stop there. In 2021, I will complete my BA in Ayurveda Health and Integrative Nutrition.

After spending close to two decades in the healthcare industry, and navigating my own path to health, I decided to open my health coaching practice to new heights and help my clients achieve greater wellness.

I am truly passionate about helping women be empowered to take their health into their own hands.
